Mandolins

An old fashion instrument with a sound of its own heard in hundreds of bands and folk songs. The original mandolin was the mandore, it evolved from the lute family out of Italy during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. The deep bowled mandolin is attributed to Naples and the modern Mandolin has many variations. I produce a flat body electric mandolin as seen in the photograph below. I don't have any images of making the mandolin's I've built and almost none of the finished instruments.

Pick up De Marzio precision bass pickup adapted to the mandolin. The reason I used this pickup is it had adjustable pole pieces these are required to balance the volume between the strings
