Acoustic Bass Guitars
I don't make a lot of these instruments, yet from time to time there is a demand. Acoustic bass guitars have their own sound, its like a double bass and then its not. One thing I have noticed, the way acoustic bass guitars are played offer a different feel to a double bass.
I make four and five string acoustic bass guitars, these instruments require considerable work and time to build. I built and designed several acoustic bass guitars while working in Germany for Lakewood Guitars. The photograph of the musician's jamming in my workshop is the only photo of the acoustic bass guitars I have built.
The acoustic bass featured in the photo was an experiment, I wanted to test the properties, dimensions and design of some ideas I was working with. The final instrument resulted in having a good range and an even temperament and warm tone.
